Time to be Frank Rss

So is it Time to be Frank?

This is a post of the kind of luck I have.

I thought my drive home yesterday was an adventure.   I had to stop at Wawa to pick up milk, so I also picked up  a family soup.  Well I drove the 5 minute ride home.  I got out of the car and went around to the others side to pick the bag of milk and the soup.  To my surprise the entire container of soup spilled all over the mat in the car.  Yes a very large container of potato soup now completely empty.  I was so happy that I purchased rubber mats.  Of course that was dinner, so it was time to find soemthing else.

I made it through that, but I did not even realize what a nothing event that really was until this morning.

So today I had my normal routine.  I get up around 6:00 AM.  For those that know me I am not a morning person.  I am very happy staying up all night, but not all too pleased to get up in the morning.  I enjoy my coffee, reviewed emails and updated Twitter.  Lily came down too so she watched TV.  Finally around 7:15 I went up to take a shower and finished getting ready for work.  Of course this is after my 3rd cup of coffee.  So I take a quick shower.  When I got out I heard Lily talking to Robyn on the monitor.  I was okay with Lily waking Robyn because it was time to go anyway.  I got dressed and went in to visit my two precious girls.   I just did not realize how precious Lily (Our 2 Year Old) really was.  I opened the door and to my surprise this is what I saw:

"Hi Daddy!"

You may not recognize the material that is on Lily, but it is Desitin.  Yes the same cream that is used on the cabooses of little ones.  Actually to be precise this is 2 tubes of Desitin.  Well it was more than just what you see.  It was on other furniture, throughout the floor.  Oh and it was even…

Our Precious Robyn

Our Precious Robyn

…all over our precious Robyn.  Do you know how hard it is to get Desitin off?

So this is a glimpse into what it is like to be Frank.  So how is your day going?

I feel your pain, guy. Never had anything quite that bad, but once my son ended putting good portion of a tub of Eucerin in his hair. It was about a week before his hair was back to normal.

It is a good thing they are cute.

OMG, and I thought my two year old screwed up when she slathered an entire bottle of lotion on her while having her private time in the little girl’s room. Desitin vs. Lotion. You win!

Oh holy hell that’s funny!

My older son got into desitin once while he was supposed to be napping…it was all over him, the new carpet, the door frame…

But at least at the time he didn’t have a little brother.

Hang in there!

Been there, pal. Too funny. You have my sympathies.

Wow – that one made me laugh this morning. I’ll be putting the Desitin out of reach when I get home tonight, because it’s only a matter of time before Jack paints his brother Ben…

Been there, done that, except ours wasn’t the white kind, more that yellow gel kind. And yes, it is next to impossible to wash off!

Hope today is better. :)

That’s awesome

LOL. We experienced something similar with petroleum jelly, but only on one kid. That Desitin is as hard to remove as ScotchGuard. Glad you had a good sense of humor about it, which must come in handy in your line of work.

Lord have mercy on you soul . . .poor Robyn just an innocent bystander.

That is one of the funniest things I have seen in a while! Aren’t kids the best teachers of patience? :)

I know my 3 year old can sure teach me. I only wish my iPhone would have been in my pocket for some of the more fun similar experiences so they could have been captured with pictures.

LOL!!! My son got into a tube of vaseline before… I swear he was one slick kiddo for about a week— washing that stuff.. not so fun either!! Cute pics :)

That’s hysterical! You can never ignore *silence*- while it’s music to our ears, it’s usually an indication of something really, really bad going on!

Yesterday I came home to a big chunk of hair on my kitchen counter (my husband saved it for me) Apparently the kids decided it was time for hair cuts.

Priceless moments. I always stay quiet until I’ve capture the catastrophe on my camera and then I yell! (I wouldn’t want to miss a pic like this!)

Priceless! You’ll remember these moments forever. I love that you can see just Robyn’s eyes in that first picture.
